Your trip, step by step
- Pick-up in Marrakech. The driver comes to your hotel door. For riads deep in the medina, where cars cannot enter, he waits at the nearest car access and walks in to collect you and your bags.
- Out of the city. You join the A7 motorway on the western edge of Marrakech and head west past Chichaoua, then south towards the coast.
- Across the High Atlas. The motorway crosses the western end of the mountains on long viaducts and through tunnels, then drops into argan country. One stop is included on request, at a service area or an argan cooperative.
- Arrival on the coast. The driver takes you to the door of your hotel or apartment on Agadir bay, or carries on north along the coast road to Tamraght and Taghazout.
Coach, shared taxi or private car
Morocco’s railway stops at Marrakech. CTM and Supratours coaches run this corridor roughly every two hours and they are comfortable and reliable; for one person with light luggage they are the sensible choice. A private car makes sense from three travellers, with children or real luggage (surfboards included), or when you want to go door to door without two extra taxi rides.

The real cost of the coach: the ticket is cheap, but you still need a taxi to the bus station in Marrakech and another from the station in Agadir to your hotel, usually €10–18 together. For one person the coach is around €25–30 door to door, for two around €40. From four passengers the private car costs about the same per person and saves you two taxi negotiations.
Agadir, Taghazout and Tamraght
Most people who say “Agadir” mean the beach: the long bay with its promenade, hotels and the marina. Surfers usually mean Taghazout, about 20 km further north, or Tamraght just before it. We drive to all three for the same fixed price; give us the exact address when you book so the driver takes the coast road rather than the city exit.
