Casablanca Airport (CMN) → Casablanca city centre

Casablanca Airport (CMN) → Casablanca city centre

€25 per vehicle

Reviewed August 2026 by Ahlam Giyat, travel editor at Taxi Maroc Aéroport, Marrakech.

Casablanca Mohammed V is 30 km south-east of the city, which is 35 to 50 minutes by road and up to 70 in rush hour. You have three real options: the Al Bidaoui train at about 50 MAD in 35 to 45 minutes, an official taxi at the regulated 250 to 300 MAD by day, or a private car at €25 per vehicle fixed before you land. CMN is the only Moroccan airport with its own railway station, and that changes the calculation here more than at any other airport in the country.

Take the train seriously — this airport actually has one

The station sits on level -1 of Terminal 1 and connects on foot to Terminal 2. Signage from arrivals points you straight down to it. That alone makes CMN different from Marrakech, which has no station at all.

The Al Bidaoui service runs roughly hourly from about 06:00 to 22:00, reaching Casa Voyageurs in 35 to 45 minutes for around 50 MAD in second class and 80 in first. It also stops at L'Oasis and Casa Port, which is the closest station to the old medina and the port district.

If your hotel is near Casa Port, Casa Voyageurs or the centre, and you are travelling light in daylight, the train is the better buy and we would rather tell you than sell you a car you do not need.

The official taxi, and what it should actually cost

The rank is signposted just outside arrivals at ground level. The regulated fare to the city centre is 250 to 300 MAD by day, rising to around 350 MAD after 20:00 — the night surcharge is legal and normal.

Where it goes wrong is the fixed-price 'official' desks inside the terminal, which charge 300 to 400 MAD for the same journey. They are legitimate, just expensive. And drivers who will not run the meter should simply be skipped — walk to the next taxi.

There is no Uber in Morocco. If an app-based ride is your plan, it is not going to work here.

When our car is worth €25

It is not always, and we will say so. A private transfer earns its price in four situations:

  • Three or more of you. €25 for the vehicle divides; three train tickets do not.
  • Real luggage. The train has racks, not a hold, and Casa Voyageurs to a hotel is another taxi.
  • Arriving after 22:00 or before 06:00, when the train does not run and the taxi rank is where the overcharging happens.
  • A hotel away from a station — Ain Diab, the corniche, Anfa, Sidi Maarouf or the business districts.

One or two people arriving midday with a cabin bag, heading to Casa Port? Take the train.

What is included

  • Fixed €25 per vehicle — not per person, and unchanged by traffic or the hour
  • Meet and greet in arrivals with a name sign, after customs
  • Flight tracking: a delayed landing moves the pick-up automatically, at no cost
  • Free child seats, fitted before you land
  • Drivers who speak English, French, Spanish and Arabic
  • No deposit, free cancellation up to 24 hours before
  • Pay the driver in cash (EUR, USD, GBP or MAD) or by card

Going the other way, and onward

The return to the airport is the same €25 and we track your departure time. CMN advises three hours before an international flight, two for a domestic one, and three and a half in July, August and December — so from central Casablanca that means leaving about four hours ahead.

Not stopping in Casablanca at all? CMN → Marrakech is €120 and about 3 hours, and the full CMN airport guide covers terminals, arrival times and facilities.

Worth knowing: from Casa Voyageurs you can connect straight onward without entering the city — Rabat in about 1 h 20, Marrakech in 2 h 40, Fes in 3 h 30. If Casablanca is not your destination, buy a through ticket at the airport station.
