Casablanca Airport (CMN) → Rabat

Casablanca Airport (CMN) → Rabat

€100 per vehicle

Reviewed August 2026 by Ahlam Giyat, travel editor at Taxi Maroc Aéroport, Marrakech.

Casablanca Mohammed V to Rabat is about 90 km on the A3 and takes roughly 1 hour 15 minutes, since the airport sits south-east of Casablanca and you skirt the city rather than crossing it. A private car is €100 per vehicle with your flight tracked and a driver holding your name in arrivals. There is also a rail route, and it is a good one — but it needs a change, and after a long flight that change is the whole question.

The train route, and the change that decides it

CMN is the only Moroccan airport with its own railway station, on level -1 of Terminal 1. From there you take the Al Bidaoui shuttle to Casa Voyageurs, 35 to 45 minutes for about 50 MAD, then change onto a Rabat service — hourly, another 55 to 60 minutes, 35 to 70 MAD.

Total: roughly 1 h 45 to 2 hours and about 100 MAD, against 1 h 15 by road. Cheap, reliable and entirely reasonable if you are travelling light and not exhausted.

The catch is the change at Casa Voyageurs. Miss it and the next Rabat train is up to an hour away, on a platform, with your suitcases, after a flight. That is the trade you are making — not speed, not money, but whether you want a connection at all.

When €100 is the right call

  • Three or more of you. Split four ways it is €25 each, close to two train legs per person with no changes and no platform.
  • An appointment in Rabat. Embassies, ministries and visa slots are the main reason people take this route, and a landing delay plus a missed connection ends the day.
  • Arriving after 22:00 or before 06:00, when the airport shuttle is not running at all.
  • Real luggage, or a family, or anyone who has just flown eight hours.
  • An address away from Rabat Agdal — Souissi, Hay Riad, Salé or the corniche.

What happens when you land

Your driver waits in the arrivals hall after customs with a sign showing your name, and their direct number reaches you the day before. We track the flight, so a delayed landing moves the pick-up automatically at no cost.

Allow 45 to 60 minutes from touchdown to the exit on an international arrival: passport control, baggage, then customs. We plan for that, so you are not paying for a driver to stand still.

Going home again, CMN advises three hours before an international flight, two for a domestic one and three and a half in July, August and December. From Rabat that means leaving roughly four and a half hours ahead.

What is included

  • Fixed €100 per vehicle — unchanged by traffic, hour or delay
  • Flight tracking and a meet-and-greet with a name sign
  • All A3 tolls, around 40 MAD, and fuel
  • Door to door: terminal to any address in Rabat or Salé
  • Free child seats, fitted before you land
  • No deposit, free cancellation up to 24 hours before
  • Cash in EUR, USD, GBP or MAD, or card

Frequently asked questions

How far is Rabat from Casablanca airport?

About 90 km by the A3, roughly 1 hour 15 minutes. The airport is south-east of Casablanca, so you skirt the city rather than driving through it.

How much is a transfer from Casablanca airport to Rabat?

€100 per vehicle for up to 3 passengers, with larger vehicles available. Tolls and fuel included, flight tracked, price fixed at booking.

Is there a train from Casablanca airport to Rabat?

Yes, with one change. Take the Al Bidaoui shuttle from level -1 of Terminal 1 to Casa Voyageurs, 35 to 45 minutes, then a Rabat service of 55 to 60 minutes. Total about 1 h 45 to 2 hours for around 100 MAD.

Is there a direct train from CMN to Rabat?

No. Every rail route requires a change at Casa Voyageurs. If you want a single journey with no connection, it has to be by road.

Should I take the train or a car?

Train if you are one or two people travelling light and not in a hurry. Car from three passengers, with luggage, for a fixed appointment, after a long flight, or outside the shuttle's 06:00 to 22:00 window.

What time does the airport train stop running?

Roughly 06:00 to 22:00. Outside those hours the only options are a taxi or a pre-booked private car.

Where will the driver meet me?

In the arrivals hall after customs, holding a sign with your name. Their direct number is sent to you the day before.

What if my flight is delayed?

We track the flight number and move the pick-up to your actual landing time, at no extra cost. You do not need to tell us.

Can you take me to Salé instead?

Yes, at the same price. Salé is across the Bouregreg from Rabat — mention it at booking so the driver plans the crossing.

How early should I leave Rabat for my flight home?

CMN advises three hours before an international departure, two for domestic, and three and a half in July, August and December. From Rabat, leave about four and a half hours ahead.
