Train or car? An honest answer
Casablanca to Marrakech is the one intercity route in Morocco where the train is genuinely good. ONCF runs about ten trains a day from Casa Voyageurs, the journey takes about 2 h 40, and tickets cost roughly 49 to 200 MAD depending on class. For one or two people with light bags, travelling in daytime between two city centres, we would take the train ourselves.
A private car earns its price when you are three or more, carry real luggage, travel with children, start from somewhere far from Casa Voyageurs (Ain Diab, Anfa, the port), or arrive in Marrakech at a riad that is not near the station. Door to door, it also saves two taxis and the wait on the platform.

Cruise passengers and port pick-ups
If your ship calls at Casablanca and you are leaving it to continue to Marrakech, the driver meets you at the cruise terminal exit with a name sign. Give us the ship name and the disembarkation time when you book. For a day visit to Marrakech that must be back before the ship sails, tell us: that is a return trip with a fixed departure time, priced separately.
The drive
The first part of the trip is getting out of Casablanca, which can take 20 to 40 minutes at rush hour, so we time the pick-up to avoid it when we can. After that the A7 runs south through Berrechid and Settat to Marrakech, about 2 h 30 of easy motorway. One stop is included on request, usually at the service area near Settat. If you have never seen the Hassan II Mosque, ask the driver to pass by the seafront before leaving the city; it adds about 15 minutes.
Price and vehicles
The price is per vehicle and the same for every vehicle on this route: a sedan for up to 3 passengers, an SUV for up to 5 or a van for up to 7, all at €140. Groups of 5 to 7 and pick-ups between 21:00 and 07:00 add 50%, and the booking form shows the final price before you confirm. Motorway tolls and fuel are included.
